I am so tired

So I drew you some things, and in my tired state, they may be really friggin' weird, or they may be hilariously adorable, I have no way of knowing.

So without further adieu, here is a mouse that is also a reptile

I think it's cute, adorable little mothertrucker.

I'm not sure what this is, it's some sort of platypus, beaver, tissue box hybrid...yep.

And here is a cat. I hope you liked my weird animal combinations and cat.

Three of you mothertruckers come into my house, messin' with my shit. It's outrageous.

Once again, the Spider Queen reins forth. Damn spiders keep coming into my bathroom, sitting on all my stuff, making me uncomfortable with their multiple eyes and legs. How are you able to do this to me?!

An empty Lush tub is now my primary spider catching vehicle, it's just the right distance away that I don't get too freaked out by the proximity of my hand to the creepy little weirdos, but I can still see what I'm doing.

So three of these bastards have taken up residence in my bathroom, I thought it was two, but then this huge ass mothertrucker pops out of nowhere while I'm brushing my teeth and scares the bajeesus out of me. YOU'RE SO DAMN CREEPY! Why won't they leave me alone?! Damn you, Australia! You and your poisonous critters.

I have successfully caught the huge, creepy weirdo and he is now outside in his natural habitat (I can't think of them as female, how could you do this to one of your own?!). It took a lot of shrieking, some very skilful cup work and the only motivation of not wanting to kill a spider, pretty strong motivation though.

So all is well (somewhat) once again in my bathroom, only two much smaller and less furry critters left in my bathroom (that I know of...*shiver*).

I would put a google photo to help aid you in feeling my freaked outed-ness, but I can't get myself to click images when I search "huntsman spider". If you want to know, it's one of those, but a fairly smallish one (still pretty goddamn scary). I have seen some pretty huge huntsmen in my day (oh the joys of being Australian).

So I will bid you adieu, I am off to go and most likely dream about giant spiders eating me. Farewell!

What is wrong with me?!

I keep getting sick and very slowly recovering, but just before I fully recover, I get sick again and the vicious cycle begins once more.

So I am writing about being sick a-freaking-gain, and I'm sure it's getting boring and I'm sure you all have better things to be reading, but I don't care, I'm sniffly and coughing and don't feel like doing things and I want to sleep, but I can't and there's nothing new on Tumblr. MY LIFE IS SO HARD.

This is me, always, all the time, while I'm sick (and other times too)

Now I'm off to send Avatar: The Last Airbender to England to this guy:
(my proper English cousin)
I hope he get's as obsessed with it as I am so we can talk about it.

Insomnia AKA panicky paranoid crazy bitch disorder

Being an insomniac sucks balls! I get tired, I put on my pajamas, I get myself all cocooned in my blankets and then I just lie there with my eyes close for hours, my brain for some reason unable to switch off.

It's making me act like a crazy person, my few and far between bursts of energy come from lush visits or thoughts of going to lush soon, but one can only go to Lush so many times in one week without seeming like an escapee from an insane asylum and not being allowed into the store anymore. (I have been three times this week)

Sounds about right.

I think one of my friends is mad at me, but I don't know if I've done something horrible without realizing or it's actually my crazy sleep deprived paranoia dictating my thoughts. Or maybe she's cranky for other reasons as it is unlikely that her world revolves around me.

So here are some tips for insomniacs that have somewhat worked for me or haven't, but I suspect that that's because of me and my insanity and shouldn't affect you.

1. Deep breathing, I only realised this after I had read about it, but I breathe really quickly and shallowly when I'm attempting sleep and that makes shit a lot worse.

2. Try to imagine a dream or think about something that you would like to dream about

3. Stop going over things in your head on repeat a million times. Yes, brain, I acted like a complete idiot today in english, but I don't think that replaying it over and over again will help me to fix it.

4. Listen to some calming music, and I'm not talking waves or rain soundtracks (unless that works for you, then go straight ahead), more so Angus and Julia Stone loveliness, or whatever your favorite acousticy band is.

Good God my eyes are tired (I'm typing this on my phone in complete darkness in bed as I cannot sleep), my thumbs hurt too.

5. Stop encouraging your thoughts, let them float in and out of your head, drifting past your mind with minimal input.

6. Imagine your bed (or whatever you sleep on) is floating in the ocean, imagine the sounds and feeling of bobbing up and down, slowly turning and bobbing off into various directions.

Another one is imagining yourself (or your bed) flying, this also works with the imagine a dream thing and the calmness of floating through the ocean idea.

These points are based on many hours of research and personal experience (though it may not seem like it). Hopefully this has helped an insomniac somewhere.

Sweet dreams, lovelies, I'm off to stare at the back of my eyelids for a while.

WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!

So, yep, it's my birthday. Exciting, I know. People on Facebook are strange. I don't even know you and you're wishing me a happy birthday...we go to school together, yet I have never spoken to you...but thanks anyway.

So it's the big one six today, that's pretty awesome. I'm gonna be honest, I'm more in it for the presents than the whole getting older thing. Meh, ageing, not super fun. If I could, I'd either just to skip to 18 (or 21 would be more useful what with you crazy americans and your ridiculous drinking laws) or go back to being 0-1, not remembering anything and being fascinated by everything, those were the days.

You know what is so bullshit? It's my birthday and I have to do assignments. But I'm also really proud of myself for finishing (and starting) my business assignment today, hopefully I haven't completely screwed it up.

Oh happy days!

(T'was happy days, but then iPhone decided to not cooperate with Macbook, so it took three (five) damn days to get the photos from iPhone, onto Macbook, onto blog, so now there are no happy days as this is a different day and it is not happy, it is frustrating.)

You know what, nevermind! I’m going to draw each Lush product for you. I’ll be damned if I’m going to get these photos off the internet after waiting five days for my phone to figure it’s shit out. Alas, it will not, or maybe (hopefully) my usb cord thingy doesn’t work, who knows!

Anyway!

Hello small clan of readers, how are you today? Don't feel the need to comment and tell me, I know that being the first to do something can be very scary (you're all a bunch of wimps)

So I had an awesome day today (last weekend). I went to Lush, second time this week, third time to have received Lush products, be it via mail or sales assistant, and it was glorious.

I bought some things and I am so pleased with them so far.

**Be forewarned that this post will be completely Lush related and only about Lush and I won't be offended if you decide not to read**

So product number one:
Eau Roma

I do love this, not sure why, it makes fairly mild differences to my skin, it’s just really nice to use, refreshing, reduces redness, seems to calm my skin down somewhat, mostly I like that it feels nice on my skin, but it also helps my moisturiser to sink in.

Helping Hands

My God, you guys, this shit is tops. I had been using Lemony Flutter, which you would think would be more moisturizing because it’s nearly a balm it’s so thick, but I would always wake up with dry hands. I love this because it sinks in really quickly and leaves my hands soft.

Celestial

I have a confusing relationship with Celestial, I loved it for a while last year, then something was breaking out my skin, I stopped using a lot of my Lush skincare products, including Celestial, and it stopped, so I don’t really know what was breaking me out, but something from Lush was (I think it was the cleanser, but it’s not really important now). So I have restarted using Celestial because I love Lush so much, but I don’t use much of their skincare stuff and I really want to.

So far I’ve reintegrated:
- Celestial
- Eau Roma
- Some face masks, though I never stopped loving them, just stopped using them
- Enchanting Eye Cream! So sad to see it go!
- Attempt of 9 to 5
- And we’ll see about Full of Grace

Full of Grace

So this is something I was very interested in trying when I heard about it, so I immediately researched like crazy and decided that I must have it. I’m very pleased so far, but skeptical, my skin is so sensitive that it could just be a bit delayed.

Anyway, so far I’ve been using it for a week, not every night though, alternate nights, using Arthur Lawrence Night Serum (which I love and would recommend to anyone with acne, congestion, redness, etc. It helps everything) on the other nights and I’m really liking it. It’s super moisturizing, not sure if it does much for any pimples or blemishes, but it’s really good for redness and makes my skin feel soft and smooth in the morning.

Cupcake

First time I’ve used this mask, I usually go for Catastrophe Cosmetic or Oatifix, but Cupcake was very surprising! At least for me anyway, especially since it’s for oily skin. I didn’t find it drying at all, just more of a cleansing mask than Catastrophe. It also has a little bit of exfoliation in it, probably from the mud.

Though when I was using it I did feel a bit racist...just saying'

9 to 5

Mm…Don’t like this, it’s not the cleanser’s fault, I just have super sensitive skin. So I tried this for the first time in the hopes of switching it for my current more expensive Arthur Lawrence Cleanser II, but alas it didn’t suit my skin. So don’t think it would be great for anyone with very sensitive skin, not sensitive to abrasion or anything, more so oils and more natural ingredients.

Enchanted Eye Cream

Oh man, I am so sad that it’s going! I don’t know what I’m going to do without it. It’s gradually (but a lot quicker than I expected it to) fading my under eye circles and moisturising my eye area so well, I’m going to have to stock up on it, freeze them and such.

I’m watching Torchwood now, so I have to go. I just do.

Lush tag! Wooh exciting!

Strap in and prepare for these next two posts to be completely Lush related! I'm excited! Are you excited?! You should be!

So I'm doing LushiesUnite's tag

So onward I go,
1. First product ever used from Lush and how long ago was that?
First product ever...That's quite a while ago. I think it would have been Buffy body butter...I don't know how long ago that was. A year? Two? I don't know. In between one and two years.

2. Top three favorite bath products (bath bombs, bubble bars, bath melts)?
Two of my favourite bath bombs are Mrs. Whippy and Fizzbanger, they smell so friggin' good, my Lord. Favourite bubble bar would be Creamy Candy.

3. Favorite skincare product?
If that includes all skincare (not just face) then it would have to be Helping Hands, if it's just face then it would have to be Enchanted Eye Cream.

4. Favorite Retro, discontinued, or holiday product?
Trichomania and Enchanted Eye Cream! So sad to see them go.

5. Which haircare products do you use?
So many, too many to write down. Yesterday I used H'suan Wen Hua, then Big shampoo, then Jungle conditioner. Love that combination. I also really like Godiva (I change what I use a lot, so I use these products in tandem), Coolaulin (also being discontinued in Aus), Soak and Float, Cynthia Sylvia Stout, New!, and Trichomania.

6. What is one product you really want to try but haven't?
The Blonde, I've wanted to try it for a while, but as you can see above, I have a lot of products that I like to use often and will have trouble adding it into the mix. I bought a chunk today and I will hopefully use it tomorrow and see what happens.

7. What is your ULTIMATE, ALL TIME favorite product and why?
God, this has taken a lot of hard thinking (I am literally sitting in bed, staring at my wall, with my head tilted). I'm really liking Jungle conditioner, but if it was the only Lush product I could have for the rest of my existence...I think it would have to be Big shampoo, that stuff is tops.

Also, this lovely lady also did the tag and I think she's humorous and I think you should watch it and also discover your love for her and then watch her videos.
That is all.

I bake when I'm angry

Do you guys have things that you do when you're in certain moods? Bored, sad, happy, tired, anxious?

I bake when I'm angry, but also when I'm happy, I bake all the time, so it's hard to tell, but I find repetitive tasks help when I'm in bad moods. Some others I like are sewing, hand sewing in particular, art stuff, mostly paint when I'm mad, it sort of flows better and I can express myself more easily with the paint, listening to music really loudly and dancing like an idiot whilst screeching the words...that's completely normal...anywho, cleaning is a common one, but, a bit strangely, I only like to clean the kitchen, usually after baking or cooking something elaborate to calm myself down haha.

I baked pan cookies from this recipe, except I used nutella instead of chocolate chips, I can't wait to see how they turn out. I also used self raising flour, took out the baking soda, added a quarter cup less oats, used a bit more cinnamon than stated (half a tablespoon there abouts) and added a splash of milk, if you want to get technical, though you probably didn't.
Cooling, nearly ready to be cut up

Tada! All bagged up and ready to give to my friends. Not such a disaster after all.

Ps. Oh my God, look at my new Senior Chang shirt, ohmygod, it's so amazing.

Noooooo! Charlie, nooooo!

FRINGE SEASON 2 SPOILERS

Ahhh! Charlie! Noooo! I love Charlie! He can't be dead, that cannot be!

I'm hoping (but dubious) that he's not actually dead and something will happen with the other universe and he'll come back to his wife and everything will be fine and I won't have to be upset.

NO! That is not cool, Fringe, you can't kill Charlie. No. That is just not happening. Impossible. I will not stand for this.

No. Nope, definitely not, not happening. No, never, not comfortable with this at all.

What about his wife, Fringe? Did you think about her? What's she going to do? You're horrible people!

How do you expect me to do any work now? CHARLIE, NOOO!

The answer to your second question is... I'm Spock!

Fringe spoilers (maybe, you can take your chances if you want, I won't stop you)

Oh my God, William Bell on Fringe is Spock! Oh my Lordy. When he turned around and started to say "I'm" I whisper yelled (because I didn't want to yell out Spock when my family is a few rooms away) "SPOCK!"

Oh, old man Spock, you're going to make a good William Bell

Oh man, what an ending. Probably not as good as I was expecting, except for the fact that it has Spock! Oh my God! I even went to IMDB to check that it really was Spock and not just someone who looked and sounded like Leonard Nimoy, but it wasn't!

This makes me love Fringe even more than before (and before I was flailing all over the place with love)

Cupcakes!

I made two-dozen cupcakes last night.

It was glorious.

I took them to my horse riding group and people seemed to like them! Yay.

I love baking, I love it so much. I spend hours trolling the internet for new recipes or variations. I love baking for people and I absolutely adore Nigella Lawson, she is my Goddess.

The joys of cupcakes

I'm thinking I want to make something a bit different next time, I love baking cupcakes or cakes the most, they're so cute and pretty and delicious even if I screw it up a bit. I'm thinking ginger cupcakes with ginger snap cookies crumbled on the icing, maybe with apple or something...I will undoubtably post photos/drawings of whatever I decide to bake, so I'll keep you updated.

Everything is rainbows

Oh my Gooooood, you guys. Happy rainbow ponies once again.

I've recently gotten really into Japanese furoshiki knot wrapping, which is making...stuff...using one square piece of fabric. Bags, dresses and...stuff. Mostly varying designs of bags.

I am loving it so much. It all started with Lush, those crazy, brilliant bitches. I love Lush so friggin' much, you guys, my God. They've started doing this thing (mostly in the UK) where you can get a gift wrapped in a scarf because it's good for the environment in that it can be re-used to wrap other gifts, scarves, head bands, etc. They're also really cute and adorable, but you know...good for the environment...mur murr mur mr.

So I ordered the beach ball wrap (that and other knot-wraps here) from Lush UK and when it came I was very excited, but the Lush ones aren't as soft and lovely as the ones I'm about to talk about that I got from Bobo Wrap.

They're so pretty.

Good Lordy are they lovely.

I got two of the jumbo scarves, Willow and Splendor designs

This is Splendor, I'm too lazy to get up and take a photo of Willow, so you can imagine or go and find it on the Bobo website.

I love the idea of having a whole extra bag folded up and compact inside your bag just by tying some knots in it. Freakin' awesome.

Plus this wrap (the second one in the video) expands as you put more things in it, so it also makes a pretty big bag, good for farmers markets (which I happen to be a huge fan of).

Also I painted these recently, if you're interested

P.s. Oh my God, Andy from True Blood is on Fringe, sweet Lordy.

Am I just talking to myself?

I just read a post about becoming bigger in the blogging world and it's made me feel so small and insignificant. One of the things was to not give up in the beginning, but I've been blogging for over a year now and I have no followers other than friends that don't actually read it. What has this year been about? What is the point? Sure, I love blogging, but lately it's felt like I'm just a crazy lady talking to herself.

Is there anyone out there? Anyone reading, anyone interested in my thoughts?

What am I doing wrong? I post about random bullshit, sometimes I go crazy about Lush or something that's pissed me off. I'm really into supernatural TV shows, I get irrationally mad at trees, I get excited by turkish bread and I'm overly paranoid. What more could you want?

I have ordered yet another Lush UK order. I think there is something wrong with me

Though what could be wrong with this?

So look what I got yesterday, and look what I've ordered that I should receive next Sunday.

Yesterday:
Little Green Bag

First of all, I freaking love all of the knot wrap stuff. I love it so much. I love the eco friendly aspect, but I also love that they're so awesome and practical and cute! I will be using the Little Green Bag knot for my toiletries case and I also got the Beach Ball knot and that will be my beach bag, so excited.

So all the stuff that came in the Little Green Bag:
(Can I start by saying that all but two of these are full size, so it's pretty amazingly cheap)

1. Each Peach massage bar
Just be aware, if you're ordering from outside of England (which I assume is where they ship from), you may receive a melted massage bar, so I would suggest asking them to package it or put it in the shampoo bar tin in the comments section when ordering online because that's what happened to me. Luckily they put it in the tin, so it only melted and solidified in the shape of the tin, which was a little disappointing, but it's still usable.

So the product itself: It's your usual massage bar, citrusy scent, very moisturising, as are all massage bars. I'm not a huge fan of citrus, so I don't have much to say about this one.

2. Jungle Solid conditioner
Some people say to use it straight from the bar, running it along the hair, not rubbing, some people add hot water to it, bottle it and use it as a normal conditioner (though that defeats the travel friendly-ness that I love about it) or cut off a little chunk and do a similar thing in the shower, adding hot water to your hand with the chunk in it and rubbing it in. I liked just running it through my hair, I found it coated it well enough. I don't really know what people are talking about, hair not feeling conditioned when in the shower, but after your hair dries it does? I didn't find that, my hair felt pretty normally conditioned after running it through a few times.

3. Squeaky Green shampoo bar (and a shampoo bar tin)
Like other people say, it's a bit drying, probably best to use a heavier conditioner with Squeaky Green than Jungle, best option would be Retread or Coolaulin (which is being discontinued ahh!). Good for people with oilier hair, not so much the dry haired folk, such as myself, or maybe as a clarifying shampoo, which I think it would be good for, but I’m really enjoying what I currently use (Lush Big shampoo).

4. Sugar Scrub
I love Sugar Babe, the more moisturising and less abrasive sugar scrub of Lush's, so I was a little apprehensive when trying this one as I have very sensitive, dry skin. Though it wasn’t moisturizing, it wasn’t as drying as I had expected and it didn’t irritate my skin, it’s a similar scrubbyness to Rub Rub Rub (which I love), but in solid form. It doesn’t have a very strong smell, a bit foresty, I guess? The packaging it comes in (in this kit) is a bit annoying, it’s a bit of a shame that this whole pack was supposed to be all naked products, but they had to package the scrub for obvious reasons, sugar everywhere wouldn’t be fun. It doesn’t come out of the packaging too easily either, I had to cut a little bit down the side for it to pop out. I put it in one of the Lush black pots that the cleansers come in and used a spoon to mash it up (which took a bit of force as it had been smooshed in the container for so long). If you do this, make sure you get it really mashed up before you use it, when the smaller pieces of it get wet, they either get softer and mash up easily or they become rock solid and unusable, it probably has to do with how much water, but it’s best to smoosh it before you get it wet.

5. Sea Vegetable soap
I was quite excited to try this soap, as I have tried so many Lush soaps, but never I was never really interested in this one, again a bit citrusy, it's a little drying, with the lime and lavender always seems to dry me out, even though it's supposed to be moisturising.

You can buy it here from the UK website.

I also got Coconut deodorant powder, which I am loving!
It smells so good, like coconut (obviously). It's surprisingly good for sweat, more so during the day if it's really hot, apply a little and you're instantly dry again and smelling sweet.

And last but not least, the Gorilla Perfume Miniatures Set.
This is the best idea ever. I had exactly this problem, I was so pleased with all of the new perfumes, but I didn't know which one I wanted and worse , it's very difficult to really smell them inside the lush store, what with all of the other smells going on.
