Is it weird that whenever I enter a dark room or go around a dark corner I think about whatever I'm holding and how I could use it as a weapon?

Because I do that.

All the time.

My weapon of choice would be MacBook. With it's stainless steel outer shell, it would be perfect for hitting someone over the head with.

Readers, what's your weapon of choice? I know you won't comment, but think about it. What would you do?

No. Never mind, don't think about it. I do enough thinking about it for everyone anyways.

You know what else is a good weapon? A belt.

March favorites!

I know, very exciting, the first month of Autumn/Spring is over. Winter is coming, huzzah!

Favoreto numba one: The Big Tease from Lush.

Though I haven't been using it very long, I really like the idea of hair gel that's good for hair (although I'm not sure how good for hair it actually is) and it's been working very well for me so far.


Number two: Strawberry Feels Forever also from Lush

I've been using this for a few months now and I really love it. It smells like strawberries and cream and makes me smell like that all day. It's good on stretch marks, I have these weird stretch marks on my back (they don't make any sense) and it's gradually fading them. Really moisturising and softening, my legs get so smooth and delicious smelling.


Three: Karma soap again from Lush

When I first started going to Lush, I didn't like Karma. I think it sits next to the citrusy soaps and that makes it smell of citrus in the store. I'm not a huge citrus fan. Then the limited edition Karma shower gel came out and I bought it as there aren't all that many Lush shower gels and I find shower gels are easier and quicker than bar soap, so I tried it. It smells really different to in the store. It's like a sweet citrus, pachouli smell. Some people hate pachouli, apparently, I like it. Awesome.

Four: Cleanser II and III by Arthur Lawrence

(The bottle is different now, but you get the gist of it comes in a bottle)

I have really, incredibly, sensitive skin, I tried so many cleansers, getting a couple weeks in, thinking this cleanser was working and bam! My skin gets all angry for no reason. I think of it as too much of a good thing. All of the cleansers I tried were natural, but they still aggravated my skin (I had the same problem with makeup, I'll talk about that in a bit). Then my hippie god mother told me about Arthur Lawrence and I tried them. They're a little pricy, but totally worth it, a bottle of Cleanser II lasts me a good amount of time. I got my first bottle probably four or five months ago and it still has around three months use in it, that's using it once a day. I got Cleanser III around Christmas (three months ago for people in the future) and it's hard to tell because the bottle is white, but I'd say I've used about a fifth of it, I probably use it once to twice a week.
So back to how it's changed my skin. I used to get breakouts from the other cleansers that wouldn't go away for weeks, now my skin is clear and lovely. I really, really recommend these products, especially to people with sensitive skin.

Five: Lily Lolo's Mineral Foundation (Colour: Blondie)

This foundation is amazing! Same again for sensitive skinned folk, this stuff is awesome. I it only has five ingredients, all of which are natural. Huge awesomeness, doesn't contain bismuth oxide! Bismuth oxide is something nearly all mineral makeup products contain, it is a known irritant and is especially irritating to sensitive skin, and Lily Lolo foundation doesn't have any of it! Yay.
The coverage is great, I can't remember which ingredient it is, but one of the ingredients is really soothing on the skin and actually makes redness go away. It's buildable coverage, so it can be anywhere from light to full if you want. Huge colour range and really affordable, you can buy samples of all the colours for only £1.29 and a full sized jar for £12.49. They last for freaking ages too, I bought my first full size sometime in the middle of last year and it still has half left. The lids are a little flimsy though, so I've had to put it in a different container (an empty Lush one). I love this makeup so much. They also have concealers, blushes, eyeliners, eyeshadows and lipgloss.

I bought turkish bread!

Yeah...so, I'm pretty much only going to be eating my turkish bread for the next three days. I love turkish bread sooo much.

Here is how I plan on eating my bread:

Cinnamon toast! I love cinnamon toast, it is the best kind of non-savoury toast.

Promite. Not true Aussie, but whatevs, I like Promite more than Vegiemite. (it's not the same, shut up)

Strawberry jam that I bought from a little old lady at the markets.

Some sort of toasted sandwich.



Now, I'm gonna go eat some cinnamon toast.

I'm in a bit of a Lush frenzy at the moment. The Dirty line was just released and I'm itching to go into Lush to check it out, because the Australian Lush website is down.

My soaps stored in glad wrap so the smells don't mix (it's very frustrating when they all smell like the strongest scent (a mixture of Honey I washed the kids and Rockstar)

I couldn't tell you what they all are, but my favorites are Rockstar, Snowcake, Demon in the dark, Godmother (same smell as Snowfairy Christmas shower gel) and Karma.

Bubble Bars and Bath Bombs

I think I have like 12.
Favorite Bubble bars would be The Comforter and Creamy Candy.
Favorite Bath Bombs, well I haven't tried many, but my favorite that I've used would be Butterball and Mrs. Whippy, but my favorite smelling one, which I will be trying soon, is Think Pink.

My ordered Lush


Top one is like 400g of Trichomania because I read somewhere that they were discontinuing it and it's one of my favourites, so I bought heaps of it. They're not.

There are also two Baby Face cleansers because I like them for taking off makeup.

Same for Coolaulin. Damn you, internet! Tricking me and such.

There's also a sample in there, I think it's for Dream Cream moisturiser, I haven't tried it yet.

Tada! That is all my Lush. I'm going to Lush tomorrow, I'm so excited!

I am a genius. Attention all braces sufferers, do you have pointy wires giving you ulcers and don't have any dental wax? Solution!

It's no good if you're going anywhere...or it could be if you cut it smaller...typing whilst thinking here, sorry.

My amazing idea: roll up a cotton pad and stick it between the side of your mouth and the pointy wire, like they do at the dentist if they're working on the upper side of your teeth.

Oh my God, it's so amazing. There's a wire poking me and I have no wax, so I was going to suffer until my brother wakes up and hopefully takes me to get some, now I'm fine! I'm so proud of myself.

Anyway, hope all people with braces and no wax find this, probably not, but if you do, I feel your pain.

So I'm just gonna get straight into in

The Big Tease Hair Gel -

I'm trying it for the first time ever right now. I just showered, so I took a finger tip sized amount, rubbed it through my fingers and scrunched my hair, let's see if I get the lovely waves that I'm hoping for.
The smell - a lot of people don't like the smell, I can see why, but really you just need to think of it as smelling like The Olive Branch because it does and I love The Olive Branch. The smell isn't as strong once it's in your hair.
End result - I'll update in a couple hours once my hair is dry

UPDATEY! Love it even more now. Still smells great, made my hair wavy and shiny.

Look at that. Awesome. I will continue to use this for a while, I think.








Heavanili Massage Bar -

Not sure if I've reviewed this before, it deserves a second review anyhow.
Love it! It's so cute and smells friggin' amazing. Super moisturising and lovely. Although one very minor, just sort of humorous thing is that on the front side there is a pink coconut oil stripe, well if you rub the pink side on yourself you'll get a pink stripe (it rubs in easily) or a pink hand if you're holding it with the pink facing your hand. Ha!

Butterball Bath Bomb -

I love this so much. To describe the smell I will quote my best friend, Kate, "It smells like babies!" This is true. If I knew what that smelt like or was sure it was a real thing, I'd say it smelt like buttermilk, but I don't know what buttermilk smells like, so it smells like what the word buttermilk leads me to believe the smell is. So it's pretty much milky and buttery, but not salty like butter, just buttery and awesome. Smell it yourself, Gawd!
It's surprisingly moisturising for a bath bomb.

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub -

Oh how I love this (yes, I love everything Lush has ever created). It smells like lemonade. My god, yum. For sensitive skinned people (such as myself) the exfoliating salt...stuff isn't too coarse for my skin, and I have very sensitive skin, so it should be fine for you as well. Don't use it every day though, once a week is good.
It makes my skin all smooth and soft. I love this one the most of the things I've bought from my trip to Lush.
Did you know I hadn't been to Lush since Christmas before this trip? Devastating, I know.

Those are pretty much all the things I've tried lately. I'm so excited for the new stuff! Have you guys heard about the toothpaste tabs? Eco-friendly non-packaged toothpaste! So exciting.

It's too bloody cold!

My family is making me feel like some sort of cold-temperature-not-withstanding-yeti or something. I'm all "It's so freaking cold!" and my Mum's all "Maybe you should put some more clothes on" Psha! Long pants are for the weak. Although I am currently wearing long pajama pants and a sweatshirt. My feet are freezing!

Weather has been all crazy in Brisbane lately, really hot summer, then going into Autumn, still really hot, creepy on and off cold days, where it would be cold enough to wear a jumper and then the next day shorts and singlets were seen everywhere. I can take all this climate change!



There is a cat sitting on me and a dog next to me that is just staring at the cat. He keeps trying to eat the cat's ears. Like not rip-them-off-his-head kind of eat them, like lick them as fast as possible. My dog is strange. And my cat is strange for putting up with it...
I'm not sure why I just ventured into animals there, but whatever, it's my blog, I'll do what I want.
